HIGH VELOCITY FLAME SPRAYING (HVOF)
In the high velocity flame spraying process, in short HVOF, the coating material in powder form is processed. In this process the fuels, e.g. kerosene or acetylene, propane/hydrogen with oxygen using high pressure are fed into a combustor and then they are burnt there. The resulting high combustor pressure (up to 10 bar) allows to achieve flame speeds of up to 550 m/sec. This supersonic flame is axially or radially applied to the powder to be processed and via a nozzle system led onto the coating surface.
Due to the high speeds of the particles very dense and high-quality layers can be produced with this process (see Illustration of the company Linde).

For the high velocity flame spraying in our production we use the model JP 5000 by Praxair TAFA, WokaJet 400 and WokaStar 600 by SulzerMetco (see Illustration below).

With this pistol we process coating materials such as:
- Carbides: WC Co/WC Co Cr/ Cr3C2 Ni Cr and others
- Metals: 316 L/ NiCr/ CrNiBSi-Leg. and others.
In our production cabins the HVOF process may be used:
- linear-controlled
- robot-controlled
with areally and rotationally symmetrical spraying stands.
We are equipped for:
the production of individual parts / small series / large series
Standard dimensions in our production are:
- Maximum length: 5500 mm
- Maximum diameter: 1200 mm
- Maximum unit weight: 3200 Kg
- Areal dimensions: LxW 5000x3000 mm
- Any dimensions going beyond these measurements require special requests.
We also test and develop customer-specific applications and document these in reports, upon request even with a metallurgical analysis.
For each processing or development a customer-specific production schedule is generated. Thus it is guaranteed at any time that the works are always carried out, processed and delivered with a consistent quality for you.
