    POWDER FLAME SPRAYING

The first powder flame spraying devices, which were developed in the early years of the 20th century, were statically operated coating devices.

This means that the work piece had to be led past the spraying nozzle. At the time two different kinds of powder feeders were used to this end (see Abb. 5.).

The powder spraying pistol was the next developmental step in the spraying technology (see Illustration of the company Linde).

Metal powder is led to a propane or acetylene-oxygen flame and heated, so that in doughy or melted form it may then be accelerated and applied to a surface. One of the first powder spraying pistols was the Schori metal powder spraying pistol from England (see Abb. 13.).

Up to now many new and further developed models by various manufacturers followed this first pistol.

For the powder flame spraying in our production we use the models 5P, 6 P II by Sulzer Metco (below).

With these pistols we process coating materials such as:

      • Metal powders and metal powder alloys
      • Ceramic powders
      • Synthetic powders

In our production cabins the powder flame spraying process may be:

      • manually controlled
      • linear-controlled
      • robot-controlled

with areally and rotationally symmetrical spraying stands.

    We are equipped for:
the production of individual parts / small series / large series

Standard dimensions in our production are:

      • Maximum length: 5500 mm
      • Maximum diameter: 1200 mm
      • Maximum unit weight: 3200 Kg
      • Areal dimensions: LxW 5000x3000 mm
      • Any dimensions going beyond these measurements require special requests.

We also test and develop customer-specific applications and document these in reports, upon request even with a metallurgical analysis.

For each processing or development a customer-specific production schedule is generated. Thus it is guaranteed at any time that the works are always carried out, processed and delivered with a consistent quality for you.
